Meet Mrs. Miller
Hello families! I am so looking forward to this year and all the exciting things that will take place. A little about me: I’ve been living in Raleigh since 2007. I am originally from a small town in the middle of Michigan. I come from a huge family who all live in that tiny town and have been very blessed to have learned so many valuable life lessons from them. I left that small town to attend Western Michigan University. After graduating from WMU with a degree in Elementary Education, I ventured to North Carolina to live with some friends. After a few short months of living here, I met my now husband, Theron. We married in 2010. We have two wonderful children, London who is 5 and Noah who is almost 3. Some of my favorite things are to spend time with family and friends, reading, swimming, the beach, and chocolate!
I have been employed with WCPSS since 2008 and have taught first, third, and fourth grade. I enjoy watching my students grow throughout the year. I believe all students have the ability to learn and I feel blessed to be able to help them find and reach their full potential. I believe that the classroom is a place to work on more than just academic skills. In addition to that we will work on problem solving, social skills, and ways to continue to better ourselves and the world around us.
